AMG Signs JV For VCMC

AppleOne Properties Inc., a leading real estate developer in the Visayas and Mindanao, through its health care arm AppleOne Medical Group (AMG), has signed into a joint venture with the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP) to acquire majority share of the the Visayas Community Medical Center (VCMC) in Cebu City.

VCMC was founded by UCCP in 1952 as a response to the medical needs from World War II. Since then, the hospital has stood as a well-regarded institution in Cebu. With an alignment in values and social mission stemming from the joint venture, VCMC will stand as a testament to both institutions’ mutual goal of transforming and uplifting Filipino communities through quality healthcare made accessible.

Bishop Ermegencio Padillo, chairman of VCMC said: “Both VCMC and MAG initiated the likings of a strong partnership, characterized by trust, confidence and high spirits. VCMC saw it fit to partner with a group or institution with high moral and social standing and indeed AMG was the right choice.”

VCMC Management Signing Ceremony

The partnership for VCMC was made official last July 2020 through an intimate Joint Venture Signing Ceremony of AppleOne Medical Group and the United Church of Christ in the Philippines. AppleOne Properties Inc. (API) president and CEO Ray Go Manigsaca, along with wife Venus H. Manigsaca (Vice President and Chairman) joined together by VCMC Chairman Bishop Emergencio Padillo and UCCP Chairman Keith Quebral in marking API’s official entry into the health care industry. This joint venture partnership signified AppleOne Visayas Medical Corporation to manage and operate the Visayas Community Medical Center in order to revive and further bring forth the mission of the hospital in accordance with the highest standards of excellence in providing health care services to those in need.

Chinese New Year At AppleOne Equicom Tower

API X Regus: Providing More Co-Working Spaces In The Visayas

IWG, the leading workspace provider that pioneered the coworking space concept in the Philippines. has signed a franchise partnership agreement with Cebu-based property developer AppleOne Properties, Inc. (API), the first in the Southeast Asian region. The IWG and AppleOne collaboration will expand IWG’s footprint in the Philippines, particularly the Visayas region.

Under the franchise partnership agreement, API and IWG will work together over five years to develop eight new centers in six cities across the Visayas region, namely in Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City (Mactan), Mandaue City, Dumaguete City, Iloilo City, Bacolod City

API Brings Award Winning Documentary Film – Bird Of Prey

AppleOne Properties Inc. (API), in collaboration with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Philippine Eagle Foundation, USAid and Ayala Center Cebu, invites the public to see the alarming situation of the Philippine eagle in the documentary “Bird of Prey (The Story of the Rarest Eagle on Earth)” in free screenings in Ayala Center Cebu today, Nov. 12.

“Bird of Prey” takes a sweeping look at the vanishing world of the great Philippine eagle and the people determined to save it from extinction. This document on film is by Neil Rettig, a six-time Emmy Award winning cinematographer with over 40 years experience in filming rare and endangered species worldwide. Rettig first documented the Philippine eagle in 1977 with “To Free an Eagle,” the film that influenced then president Ferdinand Marcos to appreciate the raptor and change its name from the comical Monkey Eating Eagle to the appropriate Philippine Eagle.

The film is produced by the multi-awarded John Bowman and directed by Eric Liner. Bowman is a three-time Emmy Award winning executive producer and vice president of production for the National Geographic Society. Liner is a director and cinematographer who has filmed wildlife, wild places, and wild people around the globe.

Since debuting in 2017, “Bird of Prey” has earned 18 awards, including Best Film by the Banff Mountain Film Festival, Best Cinematography by the Atlanta International Documentary Festival and Innsbruck Eco Film Festival, Best Nature Film by Spain’s Cinema FIA Film Festival and Best Environmental Film from the DocUtah Film Festival.

Sheraton Design Series With Detalia Aurora

AppleOne Properties Inc., through its subsidiary The Residences at Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort, kicked off the “Inspired Design Through Craftsmanship” series last Oct. 15 at The Residences’ Pavilion located in Punta Engaño, Mactan.

Starting the series is the collaborative effort with Detalia Aurora. The company has been in the industry in for more than 20 years, specializing in indoor outdoor furniture and home accessories. Combining modern technology, traditional Filipino craftsmanship and use of indigenous materials, it prides itself in its deep understanding that local can compete at a global level.

It was a one-day experiential event attended by media, personalities and students. People were treated to a furniture design exhibit, influencer talks and a walk-through—interactive demonstration by the artisans in three work stations beginning with the process of rattan-making including using a blowtorch to manipulate the look of the material, the complex process of stone inlay, and weaving, one of the most well-known and preferred techniques.

Through this effort, it hopes to shine a spotlight on Philippine-made products, particularly Cebuano craftsmanship, from the conceptualization, technique to the end result. Mahi Official Signing Ceremony

AppleOne Properties Inc. (API) has signed a management contract with Marriott International (MI) to develop the first Fairfield Inn & Suites in the region. Fairfield Cebu Mactan will be located within Mahi by AppleOne Properties Inc., a forthcoming IT center set to rise along ML Quezon National Highway in Barangay Ibo, Lapu-Lapu City.

The property will have 198 rooms and an area of 10,950 square meters spread throughout seven floors. The Fairfield Inn & Suites brand is a limited service hotel that is tailor fit to provide straightforward facilities and amenities to guests on the go. Fairfield Cebu Mactan is API’s reply to the area’s growing need for airport and business hotels.

The ABH playfactory sparked their creativity and inspired their skills with engaging activities like superhero paper sculpture, clay molding, science madness, and parent-child team building.

AppleOne Helps In Transforming Smiles With Operation Rainbow

On June 3, 2019, Operation Rainbow Australia, a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide smiles to Filipino children, continued their social mission in Cebu by providing free reconstructive surgery to fix oral deficiencies such as cleft lip and cleft palate which are common with children in the country. We couldn’t have been more humbled and appreciative of the opportunity to work with the organization in bringing smiles to some of these children, who have no access to medical care. We’d like to thank the doctors, everyone who volunteered to help, and to Operation Rainbow for helping make a difference in the lives of the Filipinos.
